3 morning energy moves

Move 1: water and light

  • Drink one glass of water after waking up.
  • Open a window or step outside for 2 minutes of natural light.
  • Do not chase perfection. Chase a clear “start signal”.

Move 2: short movement

Two simple options. Pick one and repeat:

  • 3 minutes of mobility: neck, shoulders, hips, ankles.
  • 1 minute brisk marching + 1 minute gentle squats + 1 minute breathing.

Move 3: one clear first step

Write one sentence: “Today, the first step is…”. It must be small, actionable, and start with a verb.

  • “Open the project file and write the title.”
  • “Send one email and ask for an appointment.”
  • “Pack a bag and walk for 10 minutes.”

Common mistakes

  • Trying to fix your entire life before breakfast.
  • Waiting for motivation. Movement creates motivation, not the other way around.
  • Turning it into a huge ritual and quitting.

Simple rule: if it is easy enough to do even on a bad day, it is the right move.
